Persona 5: Every Main Character’s Age, Height, And Birthday (2023)

Sometimes games are packed with information. From multiple character backstories to complex mechanics, to even deep and heavily developed lore, sometimes it can be a lot to take in. This is especially true when it comes to thePersonaseries andPersona 5in particular.

Persona 5 carried on the torch of an incredible series with a massive fanbase that is well received and renowned on a global scale, and the successor toPersona 4is unsurprisingly massive; there's a lot to know. Sometimes, though, it's not about being able to list every persona in the compendium. Sometimes it's about the trivia knowledge that you never know you need until you need it. For those that absolutely need to know, which is certainly everyone, here's a list of everyPersona 5main character's age, height, and birthday.

Updated by Michael Connor Smith on March 26, 2020: With such a character-rich series as Persona, having access to specific bits of information about our favorite characters is a real treat to fans. RPGs, Japanese ones in particular, often have some sort of section filled with biographical information, whether it be included in the main game or not.

This list was updated to account for the release of the updated version of the game, Persona 5 Royal, which features new characters that are pivotal to the main story. While some of these characters still have their information remain in relative obscurity, we've included the best estimates possible for these new characters.

14 Futaba Sakura (Age: 15, Height: 4'11, Birthday: February 19th, 2001)

Everyone's favorite hacker extraordinaire, Futaba is the support of the Phantom Thieves. Not surprisingly, she's the youngestmember of the Thieves at age 15, having been born February 19th, 2001.

Representing the Hermit arcana, Futaba certainly fits the bill. Upon the first encounter, we learn that Futaba is a hikikomori; a shut-in that rarely ever leaves her room. That, of course, all changes upon befriending the Phantom Thieves and as she spends more and more time with them she slowly starts coming out of her shell.

While she ends up standing tall with the Phantom Thieves, she's unsurprisingly on the shorter side of the height spectrum at a meager but understandable 4'11".

13 Goro Akechi (Age: 18, Height: 5'10, Birthday: June 2nd, 1998)

Akechi is a detective prodigy, said to be the second coming of the Detective Prince from the previous game. Born June 2nd, 1998, his accomplishments and accolades at the age of 18 are nothing to laugh at; this kid is good. So good, in fact, that he ends up joining the Phantom Thieves for a time.

Despite the team up, though, he does eventually reveal his true nature and turns on the party proving that he, like the protagonist, possesses the power of the wild card and can utilize multiple personas. He's a challenging opponent, and despite only being 5'10", it's revealed that he very much looks down on the rest of society. There's one of these characters in every story, though, isn't there?

12 Kasumi Yoshizawa (Age: 15, Height: Unknown, Birthday: Unknown)

Kasumi is a newcomer toPersona 5,and will be making her debut in the upcoming enhanced remake of the game,Persona 5 Royal. That said, not too much is known about Kasumi at the moment.

We do know that she, as a confidant, will be representing the Faith arcana which isn't present in most traditional Tarot decks. This isn't going to stop Kasumi, however, and fans have gotten a lot of promotional material regarding her already.

We know she'll be a student at Shujin Academy, and at age 15 will likely be a first-year. Kasumi's exact height and birthday aren't known just yet, but regardless we know that she'll be bringing the heat with her persona, Cendrillon. Next to the other Phantom Thieves, she appears to be relatively around the same height as Makoto who is 5'5.

11 Caroline and Justine (Age: Unknown, Height: 3'6, Birthday: Unknown)

The residents of the Velvet Room are a mysterious bunch, and their origins are purposefully unknown. While Caroline and Justine may appear to be children, they could very well have an age that would be mind-boggling to normal humans.

We do know, however, that these tiny prison wardens stand at only 3 feet and 6 inches each, and they'd have to piggyback to even get close to the heights of most other characters. Their birthdays also remain a mystery, as well as if they share the same birthday or not. They may be less than frightening at first glance, but after seeing them decapitate demons with ease and fighting them in a heated boss battle, you'd do best to stay on their good side.

10 Ryuji Sakamoto (Age: 16, Height: 5'9, Birthday: July 3rd, 1999)

Born on July 3rd, 1999, Ryuji is the bumbling bad boy character of the group. Abrasive, aggressive, and not tactful at all, Ryuji is the party member you look to when all you need is brute force.

While his persona, Captain Kidd, learns some lightning element techniques, he also learns a great amount of physical damage-dealing abilities. Outside of the fight, we learn that there's a lot more to Ryuji than we initially think and that he has trulyleaned intohis reputation as the disgraced track star.

Ryuji is truly passionate about doing what's right despite his rough and intimidating exterior. The hunch he walks with makes it hard to believe he's 5'9" - which is an impressive height for a 16-year-old.

9 Ann Takamaki (Age: 16, Height: 5'6, Birthday: November 12, 1999)

Ann, representing the Lovers arcana as well as bringing the heat to the party with her persona Carmen, is the fourth Phantom Thieves member. Fellow classmate of the protagonist, Ann is very close to the Kamoshida scandal, giving in to a degree to his demand for the sake of her friend Shiho.

It's Ann's kindness and compassion that really shines through the story and the course of leveling up her confidant. Born on November 12, 1999, Ann is 16 at the start of the game.She is also 5'6" and, considering she has a part-time side gig as a model, we're guessing that's a good height.

8 Yusuke Kitagawa (Age: 16, Height: 5'11, Birthday: January 28th, 2000)

Yusuke is the token artsy boy - clean-cut, proper, and just the perfect amount of weird. The regalness of his style and the imposing form of his persona, Goemon, lend themselves well to the Emperor arcana.

An artistic child prodigy being manipulated by a man pretending to be his mentor while simultaneously plagiarizing his student's work, Yusuke was born on January 28th, 2000. This puts him at 16 at the start of the game. He is also fairly tall, standing at 5'11". We're seriously wondering what these teenagers are doing to get so tall in this game.

7 Sojiro Sakura (Age: Unknown, Height: ~5'8, Birthday: Unknown)

This scruffy, suave barista would prefer to keep most of his personal life to himself, and not much is revealed about him throughout the course of the story. Even though he's a prevalent supporting character and father figure through the entire game, his age and birthday are left in the dark, likely to his preference.

We can estimate his height, however, as he appears to be ever so slightly shorter than our protagonist, meaning that Sojiro is somewhere around 5 feet 8 inches. Sojiro seems to hold a lot of secrets within him, and his age is likely one that will stay with him, as he's gonna keep up his mysterious personality for the ladies, right?

6 Haru Okumura (Age: 17, Height: 5'2, Birthday: December 5th, 1998)

Haru, the last to join the Phantom Thieves, is soft-spoken, kind, and, with her Persona Milady, ready to thwart the plans of her controlling and abusive father. She, with the help of Morgana, gained her Phantom Thief abilities while the latter departed from the group, but ultimately joins the rest of the Phantom Thieves in their quest.

Born December 5th, 1998, Haru is 17 at the start of the events of the game and is only 5'2" tall. What she lacks in height, though, she makes up in literal firepower and has the bullets to spare for any unlucky shadow that gets in her way.

5 Makoto Niijima (Age: 17, Height: 5'5, Birthday: April 23, 1998)

Makoto is the third-year student council president and the goodie two shoes everyone expects when we first meet her. In an interesting twist of events, however, she ends up becoming a Phantom Theif herself.

Representing the Priestess arcana, Makoto uses the codename "Queen," and all the fans that rank her as this game's best girl will surely agree that this is fitting. Born April 23, 1998, Makoto is 17 at the start of the events of the game and stands at 5'5". That's not terribly tall, but don't be fooled; when it comes to clearing out mobs of shadows in the metaverse, Makoto and her persona Johanna are a force to be reckoned with.

Our biggest clue for Sae Niijima's age is her title of a "young prosecutor" by characters in the story. It's also been stated that she has been Makoto's guardian for about 3 years, so Sae is likely in her early to mid-'20s.

Like Sojiro, a bit of estimating is required to determine her height, but in a scene with Makoto, Sae, and Joker, she appears to be right in the middle. Sae likely stands at 5'6 or 5'7, and this can also be estimated from her confidant screen when standing next to our 5'9 protagonist.

3 Jose (Age: Unknown, Height: ~2'2, Birthday: Unknown)

It seems that Humpty-Dumpty drove down the wrong road and ended up in Mementos. In Persona 5 Royal, Jose acts as a traveling shopkeeper and flower enthusiast down in the depths of mementos. He's similar to Morgana in the fact that most of his biographical information is unknown.

But, when he stands next to Morgana, he's just a bit taller, meaning that he's likely around 2'1-2'2. Similarly to Caroline and Justine, his age and birthday are unknown, and it's risky to assume that he's as much of a child as he appears.

2 Morgana (Age: Unknown, Height: 1'8, Birthday: Unknown)

Anybody order amascot character? Whether you love him or hate him, Morgana is an integral member of the Phantom Thieves and iconic in the promotional material due to his appearance as a cat-like creature in the metaverse and an actual cat in the real world.

Represented by the Magician arcana, Morgana's origins are also a mystery and we don't know how old he is or his date of birth.

Don't be deceived by his childish voice, he could very well be older than the rest of the Phantom Thieves. We do, however, know his height, and the official artbook lets us know that he's 50cm in height, or 1'8", tail included. How can something so small be so intimidating when it comes time to go to bed?

1 Joker (Age: 16, Height: 5'9, Birthday: Unknown)

Whether you call him Akira like the manga, Ren like in the anime, or you came up with your own clever name, Joker is the main character and the vehicle through which players can make all the choices the game has to offer.

Joker is represented by the Fool arcana and, like the previous two protagonists before him, possesses the power of the Wild Card allowing him to carry multiple personas at any given time.

While we know Joker's past, having been sent to live in the city carrying a newly established criminal record at a mere 16 years old, there is still some mystery to this charming everyman. His birthday, for example, is unspecified.Still, if we didn't know that he's 16 during the events of the game it may be hard to believe, considering he stands at 5'9" as indicated by his mugshot in the official artwork. Still, with that top hat, his initial persona Arsene may have him beat in that department.
